Schismaderma carens breeding in Bela-Bela

With Summer in full swing the toads are having a ball every night in our ponds in Bela-Bela. I personally enjoy their calling but I can't say the rest of my family agree.

I love the way the tads swim in schools

I will update if I get a chance to see the toadlets once they undergo their metamorphosis. Enjoy.

Always a good sign if the frog populations are healthy. Good on you.

Very cool photos, thanks for sharing.

Wow, interesting how the tadpoles seem to form a "front."

Amazing how they realise that there is survival in numbers; sacrifice a few for the greater good of the many.

Thanks guys, the tadpole behavior has been the most interesting to watch. We also have Gutteral toads and Bubbling Kassina breeding around the ponds as well as Sand frogs Tomopterna in the area.
