hey all,
My 1st OFFICIAL post in this section.
Yesterday (14/12/09) a senior ranger requested I go catch a "Cape Cobra" in a guard house after the gate guard radioed him after it was spotted.
Being in the middle of some transfers I did have either a hook or a grab on me so I adopted a broom and a cooler boxvand off myself and another ranger went.
When we arrived we found the full story,
It was not a "Cape Cobra" but a stunning male Boomslang. Eventually I caught the animal and we decided to go release him far far away.
We photographed the boy then after removing a few ticks we released him into a nice piece of Acaica karoo and Azima tetracanther bushes near the river.
This was the first chance that I have had to photograph my catch and as soon as my camera and laptop will link up correctly I will post a few pics.
(Pics are not to show beauty of animal but to prove it happened) LOL
