Haha Thanks Fooble, I followed your advice and went to check out at the BG there are Bradypodion everywhere as you said ... But that one that I photographed I found it inside a rotting log in the forest probably in brumation... Funny animals...

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay between each posts, but varsity life keeps me busy. I am loving your South african species up to now I got 18 species of snakes which bring my total to about 45 species (excluding captive obviously). I hope to get to 50 by the end of the year, I will be in KZN for a week soon so hopefully I will find a few news species there.
Anyway here is an update of the species I have found around here. I have traveled quite a bite around the western cape so few of these are quite far from George.
These is gonna be quite a heavy post. Please correct my Ids if any wrong ones.

Thanks Mitton and Laurence, much appreciated I was very happy with that find, I have looked for them quite a lot and I only know of a tiny little area where they occur. Seems like I can't find them anywhere else. They are little beauts, I just love their eyes.

Here is an update of the latest finds.
Jka came down for an afternoon, and he had 3 target species Causus rhombeatus, Breviceps fuscus and Bitis atropos. The weather wasn't on our side so we couldn't go look for atropos but fortunately we manage to find the two other target and some other interesting herps.

Target 1. Breviceps fuscus, my first rain frogs found two under a rock as I was turning the rock they were retreating in their "borrow" just had to dig them out then. Such amazing frogs.
