Postby djoffe » Sat Feb 22, 2014 2:55 pm

Hi,

Would appreciate if anyone can help ID this snake? It's small, looks about ~40cm to me, give or take. Gordons Bay, Western Cape. Tips/advice on removal?

Hi There

That is an adult Slug Eater, harmless little snakes.

They are good to have around the house/garden as they control snails and slugs.

So my tip on removal would be DONT ;)

Thanks! Much appreciated. Good to know, I'll leave it where it is then (I was mainly worried it might be dangerous, as I have a 2yo).
