Snake Identification

Hi could someone please help me to identify this snake my daughter (6) caught it and brought it to me when we were fishing next to the Vaal river at Deneysville.

Skaapsteker. If comparing to that sinker, it seems pretty small

THat is a piece of a skaapsteekr, it has been cut in half..no head.

Nope there is a head, skaapies seem to sometimes end in a stump, very weird body shape in these animals but the angle of the pic makes it look worse. No offence to vanniekerkhg.

There is a head... it's out of the frame, separated from the body.

Yeah I dont see a head either. Was a Spotted skaapsteker.
