Like everyone said really nice photos, especially the 2nd photo.
How often do you get these Heralds? And are there lips always that red?

Jka, ek is 'n man met baie talent. Kimberley het baie Afr. meisies en as jy lekker kan skoffel is jy in vir 'n ding!

hahaha @ mongoose.

Mr.G. your gifted behind the lens guy.
The lip is a beautiful shade of 'red' but what I really find striking here is the orange colour of the bottom row of scales. Wow. Can't remember ever seeing that before...
You sure you didn't tackle this snake with your other half's nail polish first?

Thanks for the great comments guys.
Mongoose jy is inderdaad n man van vele talente,.... the light was still fine and and I have one or two pics taken with the flash but I like the natural light more.
Jka, thats the normal colours for Redlips here on the Westrand.

Great pics! What aperture did you use?

Mongoose, I was just about to ask whether you have some Afrikaans blood in you, but after your "skoffel" comment I am afraid to ask.

Thanks guys, Mongoose I have sold the 60mm for the 100mm as it give you a bit more. Also just another comment. When you use the flash on the 40d the highest ss is 1/200 and that makes it difficult to catch the tongue completely still.
