These guys are really active. The total on Molesnakes this season is now 10. Must be the rain thats driving them out of their hides or a lot of frogs and toads.

That looks like a pair too. Were they found in the same place?

Possibly they move around more at mating time.

Just returned from another 3 calls.

At around 6pm I was standing at this garage at Tarlton and saw a woman next to a fence throwing something from a plastic bottle onto something next to the fence. The whole thing looked funny as there were some locals standing close by and screaming etc. I walked over and saw this lady with a bottle of methelated spirits as she throw it over a Molesnake lying between the rocks next to the fence. I looked at her and while picking up the snake ask her WTF she was doing. "Burning it" was the answer...The snake was full of the stuff and boy did she got a good few words from me.

Next call another Mole snake in a pool and just now a Rinkhals in a house.

Someone would have to restrain me from forcing that same spirits down her %$^ throat.

I can see myself in the back of a cheesevan already.

If she was that scared why did you not chase her into, and then down the road with the snake. At some stage a truck would have to hit her.

Alcohol is dangerous to reptiles so I hope you rinsed him off quickly. Luckily it evaporates too.

Gaboon69 I would not have forced it down her throat but possibly used the whole bottle and its contents as an enema.

As for the stupid woman, well I would drench her with the rest of the meths and dare her to strike the match. Either way I'll be in the cheesevan with Gaboon69.

Our next door neighbour burnt 2 BHS a while ago when confronted she said that they have been drawn to her property because of the snakes we keep and wanted to report us to every thing and every body she could get hold of. Luckily some people have some brains and the sent her to (you know what I mean) since then she is not speaking to me

I love telling them that by killing the snake or burning them they give off pheremones which attracts all the male snakes in the area. These arrive and being horny, and the female gone, they get cross and bite anything they find.

That has worked a charm for me. Most people understand sexual frustration.

I also love telling people that kill snakes that they should go see a doctor to get over their penis envy. It is worse if they killed a baby brown house snake!
