I get called out a lot here in my area but unfortunately do not have a camera - so i use my cell phone :oops:

This was a problem snake in Durban near resavoir hills - i know it is very far from me but i do enjoy snake hunting when i get down there to my mates who always get call outs

That snouted night adder is fascinating. I have never seen one and haven't seen any posts on them as yet. Are they unusual to find where you are?

I live in Maritzburg. I believe they occur down this way?

John they are very common in certain areas - when i was at school in DBN i found one near Northdene :shock:

In the slowveld they are very active on overcast days and one can quite easily find a few of them within an hour should they be moving. They however do not get big like the rhombic nighties, i just caught an adult in a staff house and it is only 30 cm, but i have found them about 35cm in the wild before!!
