ID confirmation

Postby Sfourie » Thu Feb 23, 2012 8:03 pm

Hi all,

I need an ID confirmation for this snake. I am pretty sure it is a Common Wolf Snake (Lycophidion capense capense) I found this snake in my home (Nelspruit) around 20:00 last night (Parents weren't too pleased).

The capture was relatively straight forward. I was not sure what species of snake this was thus I decided too use a little caution and my snake hook for the capture. The snake wrapped itself around the hook and was then placed in a container and escorted back to the bush where I got some good shots of it. Rain had fallen not long before and in my opinion added a heck a background to the photos.

Thanks Monopeltis and Fooble. I am still learning how to use the SLR, saving up for a lens with a bit more image quality and sharpness.

Thanks Fooble. Got a marriage in the family coming up Saturday, should be some good practise. Busy cleaning the lens and charging the battery.

Regards

Stefan
