OK... so I am finishing of the design for my first tank and I am now stuck on the decision of water glass to use.
What is the standard recommended and what type?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on what size you are working with. 4mm is fine for small cages and really large ones will need 10mm.

it will be 3 smaller panes of glass
around 40cm wide and 70cm high each.

I successfully had 2m Burmese in with reasonably large panes of glass at 5mm.

It is for a custom case for a crested gecko.... hmmmm. so I think a 4mm will be enough then
