Breeding hybrid help

Does anyone know how to succesfully breed hybrid Pythonidaes ?

I just want to own a few hybrids for my collection , IF im ever going to sell some il make sure they are sterile so that the " pure " bred species arent effected . So any tips on how to breed them ?

Depends, what do you want to breed? I would maybe start with Burmballs. Easiest is to have a Female Burmese Python and a Male Ball Python. You could do it the other way but I think a Huge Male Burm would hurt a little Female Ball Python. Do some research into them online, they go for quite a bit from what I can understand, and even then, they look pretty damn cool

Burm ball was my original plan but unfortunately my male ball passed away . So now i want to try burm x afrock
My female burm is just over 3m , just need to get the afrock lol , he is about 1.9 - 2m . Both are CB

It is highly illegal to cross breed any Indigenous specimen especially a python. You animals will be confiscated and euthanased in accordance with the Biodiversity act. You will probably also be prosecuted for doing this.

Ok i under stand , afrocks are out . But still need tips on cross breeding ( burmballs )

The Female should always be the bigger species, sub species of the two better chance of laying eggs without complications.
Other than that just follow normal breeding requirments for the snakes ie: brumation, day night cycles etc...

So when and how do i condition the 2 snakes ? Do i spray the burm after i put a mature female balls skin in the spray bottle after they are set for breeding to encourage the male to breed with her ?

Your going to try breed hybrids you will need to do alot more research on your own, we can try help you when you have problems or questions you can't find answers for but you must be willing to do the leg work.

Do some searching on this forum and on the web about breeding ball pythons and breeding burms then when you have full understanding on those methods devise a method to breed your hybrids. You must remember these pythons are from different continents and do not intergrade naturally so their is no "real" way to encourage breeding.

Ok I finally got time do post a reply .

Burmese python breeding : start cooling down the cage and decreasing the photoperiod , while stop feeding snakes the 1st november to middle november
So November 1st: decrease temperature
decrease photo period from 14 hours to 11 hours
stop feeding
December 1st: after kept in these conditions : introduce female to male

Ball python breeding : start cooling October 1st , warm end down to 28C and cold end down to 22C , while stop feeding .
Photo period reduced from 14 hours to 10 hours a day . Introduce males to females 1st November , bring temperatures up at February 14th . Keep introducing till april 1st
So October 1st : decrease temperature
decrease photo period 14hs to 10h
stop feeding
November 1st to April 1st : introduce males to females
February 14th : increase temperature
increase photo period to 14hours a day

Does humidity or spraying the cage have any effect on breeding of pythons ?

Humidity maybe but I doubt spraying would have any effect

Do you know of a reputable burmese python breeder that i can talk to , share all my issues with and ask all my questions ?
