Pytoxic, I reckon that is what Nix is talking about. Red(brown)house snake is a relatively loose term given to gouse snakes that display reddish brown colour. Their localities vary, and so does the degree of redness. As far as I know the 2 most prominent areas where red bhs are found is in limpopo and natal. Obviously the degree of rednees and associated patterning will vary between different areas. The red brown house snake I had with limpopo origin had a very deep maroon colour while the natal red was lighter with a more burnt orange red colour. All that I have left is a red x ghost house snake pair..

Here are a couple pics of their colouring
1.0-reticulated python (Ripcord)
1.1-burmese pythons
5.5-brown house snakes
1.0-taiwanese ratsnake
3.8-BCI
1.1-corn snakes
1.2-rhombic skaapstekers
1.0-yellow rat snake

Thanks Rolf for posting pics of RED house snakes! I thought i was going crazy with pics showing "red", "albino" "wierd" colours of BHS when all one has to do is spend a saturday in the right place and you will find all these "albino's", "red", "green" , "pink" BHS in a day, but it all boils down to a slight variation in colour!! The rough diamond industry is the same - they call a white diamond a pink diamond but no normally sighted person can see any sign of pink in it!!
