Help! What kind of boaedon they are?

Postby Neso » Mon Dec 08, 2014 10:08 pm

Hello! In february I bought a couple of babys boaedon in serpentarium, supposedly they are fuliginous but I have doubts about it. I was reading a lot but now I´m more confused, I don´t know if they are maculatus, capensis or hybrids.
This is the female:

And the male:

To me it looks like B. capensis. Gauteng and Durban has got alot of different stripes/patterns.

Yes, the pattern for me is similar to others capensis, but according to it the head is similar to maculatus:

Any trick like re-count of scales or similar?
It´s a hard investigation!

Really difficult question to answer.

From what I have read, the first three pictures look like maculatus, while the rest look like capensis.
