@Wolf777 - Just make sure you choose a reputable breeder/ keeper because I've heard some horror stories and these guys can be a real mission to "recover".

@ Bianca- I did a fair amount of research and I was pretty anxious before I got mine but now that she's here it's really not as bad as people make it out out be

Thanks for the warning. I lost my first one due to inexperience and a lot of other factors such as it being young and not an established feeder according to Greg Maxwell's book. I have done my reseach completely and have full confidence. I only need to set a cage up (already have cages) and buy an older animal from a reputable source. Who are the main breeders I can trust?

Wolf777- Try DragonFire Reptiles or i think they go by the name of Dragonfire here, they usually have some good quailty animals that are well established and there are adults available too. You may have to contact them via Facebook as i am not sure of their number. They will courier anywhere in SA.

I tried Dragonfire but they were a bit overpriced. Definitely right to get an established adult but dont rule out a youngster just yet. Also try get hold of Richard from creatures and critters. Most of the breeders are in Joburgh but its probably best to get one from the sos show.

What I meant was a bit older, the one I had bought had only eaten 3-4 times and didn't want to eat at all, I tried scenting, teasing and evrything except assist feeding. According to Greg Maxwell's book you can assist/force feed them as a last resort. But anyway I haven't given up on the young ones just yet. Guess I will have to wait for the expo.
