Very nice Quintin, great pics. Espesially the head shots of the Blood....and the Crestie.

Really pretty animals you have there. Just be careful you do not heat up the crestie while taking photos.

That carpet python is a stunner with a lovely sheen.

Thank you for the quick reply and kind words guys!

I will take the overheating into considderation.. Was a quick shoot though! Just took them all out for the natural light!

The blood python has calmed down allot.... but still dont trust him (Hence the hook). I DONT WANT TO GET BIT BY THIS GUY! He strikes with allot of force and a trip to the doc for stiches would be in order i think!

Funny enough, he had a shedding problem just the other day, as i was battling to keep up the humidity in hes cage, specially with the dry Gauteng/Northwest air... he let me handle him with no problem, even allowing me to take off the eye caps with short forceps.
After all the loose skin was off and i put him back into hes cage, he started hissing at me again... Go Figgure! Just wanted my help!

I must admit, its good to see a Blood Python instead of the usual ball pythons which are starting to be a bit clichéd at the moment!

Haha.. thanks Buck Rogers.

I love blood pythons. So badly want a pair of black Bloods!

Allot of international forums tell me that mine looks like a borneo instead of a "Red" (brongersmai). Richard from Creatures and Critters sold it to me as a Red. Beautiful animal none the less...

Funny you say that, I caught a 1 meter Brown House Snake that was also struggling to shed and this snake bit me every chance it got. Then when I tried to help him with the shedding he was as calm as can be and did not bite me once while I was busy, then made up for it as I put him away again.
But then when I released him again he was OK, only biting me once, so it does seem like they know.
