Jungle Carpet Python update.

Jungle Carpet Python update.

Postby greggo13 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 3:23 pm

Hi Everyone

Thought I would share some pics of my Jungle. She is now over a year and is becoming a lot lighter. She is about to shed, so will post some pics in a few days just after she sheds to compare.

I would greatly appreciate any opinions on her, as I am not convinced that she is pure Jungle?

Very nice looking snake.
The only way you would know if it is a "pure" Jungle is if you have seen the adults. A lot of people seem disapointed on buying a Jungle, expecting it to be bright yellow, but their colours only brighten as they get older.

Either way, that is a stunning specimen, and I really dig that pinkish hue to the yellow/white parts! Mitton, or CarpetPythons should be able to confirm exactly what it is. They have an astounding wealth of knowledge on Carpet Pythons!

Nice one, B!

Yeah, I would say that is a Jungle and in her own way really pretty. I like the grey bands but that could just be from being in the blue.
As roadkill said, not all Jungles will be high yellow and pitch black, especially in SA where you can never be sure what has been mixed in to them. Is she now just over a year old or almost 2 years?

Thanks for the comments!

Eugene I think she hatched last year this time if I am not mistaken.

She is a really awesome snake and she has a great temprement, she has an appetite similar to your young Irian Jaya  . Just not sure if she is breeding material?

Hey everyone!

The little lady shed last night, wanted to get your thoughts? Still no real yellow coming through yet. I have also noticed little black dots on her body, is this normal for a Jungle?
