Cyclops Revisited

Cyclops Revisited

Postby rolandslf » Thu Jul 07, 2016 11:38 am

Good day Everyone

About a year ago I posted about the Carpet given to me by my good friend Rian.
We named him Cyclops because his left eye was deformed and we were faced with one of two scenarios.
He would either be blind in that eye or lose the eye.

A course of antibiotics injected behind the eye however has fixed the eye, it no longer bulges out,
and what looked almost like a cataract on the eye has dissapeared. The eye is perfectly normal and fully functional.

I post a pic of Cyclops, so that Rian can see how he has grown.

Roland, he is looking absolutely stunning!!! Quite yellow as well, and looks good on him, compared to what he looked like as a baby.

You remember the long conversations we had about my dilemma in either finding a good keeper, or euthanizing this animal, especially after the first rounds of treating that eye failed miserably. I was torn up about him, but we made the right decision in the end. Just glad he ended up with someone as patient and caring as you.

How is his temperament? Hopefully he's taken after his father, and not his mother. She was a right demon.

Yip, we made the right decision indeed.
He is a bit jerky at first, but soon calms down.
He does not like you to restrain him too tightly, otherwise he is not a problem at all.

I am now going to get a female to breed him with.
