Very nice and beautiful, where did you get the small one from? He is very clean, do you know how old he is?
BTW, I like your grape vine logs more and more, I need to find some.

thanks guys, Mittone, i got the grapevines from a couple of petshops on the east rand, i only saw a couple of large bits, which i snapped up (reasonably pricey much like good drift wood), but i am working on getting some from a friend who farms wines in the cape, so will let you know. it doenst appear to be very common although i dont know why as it looks really great and it's a strong wood, really hard and durable.
The small snake i got from exotic pets and aquariums in boksburg south, and you are right, he is very clean and in really good condition. the way he eats i am pretty sure he is gonna grow like a rocket. The other larger one is also in very good condition, he appears to have been very well looked after by his previous owner.
Loolilocks branches in Trichardts road boksburg each have fairly large carpets going for between 1400 and 1750. they look like nice snakes, a little on the dull side though, and quite snappy as well, but otherwise very healthy looking. I went for the small one although it was a lot more expensive and a lot smaller, he just looked really good with his patterning and colours.

My female looks about the same size as your male.
She is so going to hurt me when she gets to your large one's size.
Hoping she is going to grow out of her kill everything attitude!

Lovely looking CP's!

This was taken yesterday in the same ice cream tub, he has grown quite a bit in a year and a few days.

Just a pic of him in his cage.

Have you kept him in the ice cream dish all this time? Isnt that a bit small for a growing snake? At least he now has a proper cage.

I had to keep him in that container to see if he grows, how else? But maybe I could have taken him out during the last year :smt019
Quintin, I'll have to start giving him his vitamins, he is in huge demand.

Very lovely looking CP.
How is your snakes temperament compared to a year ago??
Reason I ask is I have a 7-8 month old female and she loves to bite the sh1t out of me whenever she feels like it.
Mood swings like you won't believe. I've been told she should grow out of it?

Slayer the Jungle carpets usually calm down at 18 months to 2 years of age.

Mine stopped biting from about 9 or 10 months. They were really bad one day and the next were really relaxed when I took them out of the cage. Now I will give these snakes to anyone to hold and not be worried, they won't ever bite.

lol...
they won't ever bite.

I also said so about my female.

UNTILL my finger smelt like a rat!!! LOL... (Was my mistake) Was very eina. She grabed my thumb and constricted my hand and arm! I battled almost a half hour to get her loose from my hand! Teeth broke off in my thumb and i only got them out a week later when i had infection! Once again: Lesson learnt!

But yes, otherwise, once they've calmed down, they wont bite..
