New Iguana not eating

Postby cvanvollenstee » Wed Nov 02, 2011 8:46 am

Hello,

My Girlfirend got her iguana this weekend. He has his own cage (1m x 1m x 2m) the heat and airflow and humidity is correct.

The iguana is much bigger than I antisipated he is about 1.2m and is about 3 years old. The previous owner looked very wel after this animal

and gave it tons of love and attention. I have another iguana in the house in his own enclosure, but he comes and goes as he pleases where as

the new iguanas enclosure is perminantly closed. The problem is it has been 3 days now and the new iguana has not eaten a single thing.

He does not look like he is loosing weight but we are getting conserned. The other male iguana wil sometimes stand on his hind legs with his front

legs on the side of the new iguanas cage and bog his head to him, and that is strange becuase the new iguana is about two times bigger than the other one.

Some people says it might take 3 weeks for the iguana to adjust (by all fairness but is he going to starve as wel in the process)

Any help will be appretiated
Regards
