Poor snake, bunch of pricks!

I found this picture on Gumtree: http://capetown.gumtree.co.za/c-Stuff-for-Sale-swap-exchange-barter-3-air-rifles-for-what-you-have-or-alternatively-W0QQAdIdZ220199779

Looks like a Naja nivea to me?

I think we should all email the poster and tell him what a chop he is!

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

Take note how S**T Scared they are to hold it with their bear hands.

I wish it would slip out of the paper with the guy on the right and a Fang hooks the cheek of the guy kneeling down.

Well the way I see it is that there are contact details and proof they killed a snake. That sound like a open and shut case to me. As far as I know it's illegal to kill snakes? Isn't there a R20K fine for that?

Bunch off w@%kers!

Methinks you more likely to get a fine for keeping snakes than your are for killing one.. something isnt right :smt011

I have a good mind to pick up the phone, dial that number, tell them that I am from the conservation authorities and that I have their address and that a fine will have to be issued or jail time be served. They might be uneducated in regards to snakes but the very fact that they killed that animal and are using the picture to help sell their rifles is just sick.
And God has Created every animal from water, of them are some creeping on their bellies, some walk on two legs, and some on four. God Creates what He wills, for sure God has Power over all things. (Noble Quran 24:45)

From their perspective sure if that snake was in their house and they killed it in fear the i can see why they did it, i mean after all that isn't a little house snake.
But parading the photo is quite silly.

T, that is something I could never and don't think will ever understand. People say they are afraid of snakes but they have no issues approaching and killing one, be it with a spade, gun, etc. If that snake were a lion for example, they would they would probably run, not approach it. Most people I have met who kill snakes speak about it with a sense of pride, as if they have done the world a great justice. I believe in today's world of information technology, there is no excuse for ignorance. They had no problems using gumtree to place an ad, so they are more than capable of using google to find out about the animal they just killed unnecessarily or snakes in general. Just my 1/2 cents worth.
