Here are some Giant New Caledonian geckos.

This is a light coloured baby

A darker baby

and a sub adult male that has found his new home right here.

He makes these crying noises if you bother him. Truely adorable.

I wish I could have gotten more of them. Even at their prices they have been snapped up. Rhacodactylus leachianus feel like wet velvet when they walk on you. The Giants eat the same as Crested geckos and are just as easy to keep. The take a good few years to reach sexual maturity but live for up to 30 years.

Damn, but you got in some nice animals!

I'm surprised how well these animals have kept their value abroad. They should sell for a pretty penny locally.

If that's a sub-adult, I would make sure the terrarium locks at the fear of becoming a meal overnight ;)

Truly one. Of the coolest exotic geckos around, they make crested geckos seem like Hemidactylus! Let's hope where ever they land up they can go on and create many more.

Did you import these or were they bred locally?

That male almost looks big enough to be taken for walks on a leash!
