Boomslang DOR

Postby shadowfoot » Sun Jan 01, 2012 5:53 pm

Found this beautifully coloured boomslang in Wilderness, George.
Just wondering if this is only a colour phase or would this have been his colour through his adult life?
It was about 1 metre long.
Regards
Shadowfoot

Hey Shadowfoot, that phase would be his adult colouration especially at that size. Pity he was dead beautiful specimen.

Thanks Scavenger.
He was long gone when I saw him.
Agree, beautiful colours. Never seen one quite like this one before.

Along the coast of western cape I often find them with that color, they look really nice but even with that bright yellow they blend in very easily into the natural environment.
