Total destruction!

Postby swazi » Wed Nov 17, 2010 7:30 pm

Had a good giggle with this one...we looked for it for ages and finally found it in the base of the bed. The tongs kept on getting stuck in the material so we had no choice but to cut the bed to pieces.

The room and bed once we had finished.

Wow! I am totally impressed! Now I know what a "real woman" actually looks like!
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

Well Done Once Again Thea.

Isn't it just an added thrill when someone says, "I Don't Care What You Have To Do, Just Get It Done".

I was once called for a large BHS, ended up destroying a bath to get it out, I was very enthusiastically helped by the owner to destroy the bath as well.
I just did not have the heart however to charge them a callout fee.

Once again, Well done Thea. Hope the bed was not too expensive.

I'm sure there's therapeutic value in breaking other people's stuff, and you have their full consent! Always great to see a snake being saved.

LOL Froot , you are so right!! Sometimes it just "delicious" but felt bad about this one.

We have caught quite a few snakes at this house (think about four mambas over the last year or so). Alta rehabilitates animals - at the moment she has a monkey, dassies, a fox (I think its still there) and four crows. The smell attracts the snakes. She has a true hart of gold and will stay up all night with sick animals. She tried to call yesterday, a boomslang ate four paradise flycatcher chicks - but we were out of phone range...bummer.

For a stray mamba in my room I would also be willing to destroy any piece of furniture to get it out.
Once had a call out for a spotted bush snake that had gone into a hole in the side of an aluminium sliding door, the women that owed the business had no problem getting the gardener to rip the door to pieces with a spade to get it out even with me telling her numerous times it was harmless, snake was released unharmed but must have cost them a fair amount replacing the door.
