Rinkhals on friends lawn, good condition !!!

Postby Herpetologist » Wed Jun 16, 2010 8:12 pm

Here is a rinkhals removed from neighbours lawn. Was in the morning and was very cold, was basking in the sun.The dogs wanted to attack it so Ithought I would just take it away (dont have a catch and release permit, they wont issue me one cuz I dont have drivers license  ).It was in good condition, nice and fat :-) .Was a real sweeetie, no issues with it no spitting hissing and most of all no playing dead. Was it bit too cold for all those tricks, . Here is a few pics, (notice how green lawn is, wouldnt guess its winter down here).

Here is a few pics.

Nice,
What did you shoot the pictures at or in?
They look like very old photos?

Awesome stuff, Catch and Release Permit or not, bottom line is you prevented injury to both the Snake and the Dog by catching it.

Well Done.

Herpetologist what i meant by that was what settings did you shoot it at they actually look like they could be from a film camera just they have that "old" look by them.

I hope you know what im getting at.

Interestingly enough, I hybridised my canon 500d with a pentax lens, so it's not impossible to do.
