Help to remove

Postby denisecorry » Wed Sep 15, 2010 12:30 pm

Hi my daughter and I found a black snake in our garden yesterday. We saw it again this morning puffed up and going for my dog, and think it may be a rinkhals. We live in Alberton. Anyone have a number we can call as there are many kids and pets in the garden?

We saw it again 2 days ago about a metre away from our door and striking at my little dog. When my dog moved, it slithered closer to my cat who was sitting right in front of my door. I stood in horror and watched this, and of course, couldn't get hold of the guy from Freeme who said to phone him as soon as I see it so he can come fetch it. It is approximately 1 metre long and frikken scary. We are all petrified. Our landlord got someone out to spray the area outside our houses and the perimeter of the garden to keep it away. Will post a pic if we see it again. This thing is fierce.

By the way it is a rinkhals. I saw the white bands around it neck when it was trying to kill my dog.
