I think this might be a gravid female but not 100% sure. I took the images on release.
Enjoy..

Brilliant pic's MrG. Always interesting to see them use different methods of avoiding danger.

Hahahaha, i thought your last picture looked a bit blured, but didn`t want to sound stupid to ask if it was venom.

Lol, ja Leon. She was very upset before sailing of. The camera and my face needed a good wash afterwords. I caught her at a nursery in Magaliesburg, She was released about 8 km from there in a area full of frogs and rodents. This was the 3rd one I caught at the same place just the last year. The owner and his staff is well aware what to do and saving reptiles is very important to them. ;)

The depth of field is excellent! What were your settings for this shot if you don't mind?

Is It Just me or is there a bit of scale damage on the neck just beneath the head?

Thanks Mr G - a great post of a beautiful girl. I agree with Fooble - that pic is excellent. I love the contrast of the sky with the ground & the composition is great. It's always good to hear when people are actually keen to save reptiles

Quinton I took these images with my new Canon G12, Shutter speed 1/320, Aperture F4, Iso 80. I was very close with this shot. Must say one of the better compacts around and the first images I took with it. Time was 14h27 so there was enough light with some cloud cover.
Fooble.......Photoshop = work = time = not on my laptop. :)
