27 little monsters :)

Postby Jamster » Tue Feb 28, 2012 4:14 pm

Hey guys :)the Boma Reptile World on Sunday this past weekend i had this feeling that i should go and have good look in all the cages as soon as i walked in. I went around and nothing was out of the ordinary until i got to our rinkhals cage :) there were lots of, rather large i must say, neonate rinkhals cruising about :) will post pics soon :)

Stunning! I'm so jealous, I really need to pair my female up someday:)
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

The strange thing is we had no idea! She wasn't overly large at all she was well prortioned and ate like a machine and then all of a sudden 27 neonate rinkhals! Only one slug! And as far as we know its her first time :)

The babies seem to prefer toads so I hope you can switch them to mice quickly before the toad supply runs out. Good luck raising them.

Toad supply is still pretty good down here.got 20 walking around the complex a few nights ago. Ranging from the size of a 50c coin to the size of a tennis ball. We've found that s enter transfer works like a bomb.and as promised here's a pic of the mom. Sorry about the crappy pics but the other female decided it was a good time to start spitting at me so i just took a quick couple of shots with my phone.
