I have seen that video before!! Thats not all of it. They even fry a fish thats still alive.... It still has to be breathing on the plate after being fried for them to score on thier practical chef tests... So cruel!!!!!!

Well in the video i saw, they are eaten immediately after being served on the dish. It was a chef competition that was on aired on their local TV. The chef would be disqualified if the animal didn't live, or move on the plate! The bystanders and crowd would indulge in the platters served for them... Very disturbing!

The human race scares me sometimes, there is no other animal that would do that to another animal for the sake of enjoyment. Yes Rishaad you are right, these people are f*&k*g sick. That level of inhumanity cannot be preinstalled in all of us.

That is not nice but if it as part of their culture, who are we to say anything... we eat pigs don't we and some eastern cultures they are holy animals.

Sad but true and fooble/nvlooi make a point. If it's part of their culture they could kill these animals in a humane manner. Placing fear into dogs before they are killed is sick and pressure cooking cats alive. If they are eating these snakes raw I wonder what they could catch? Internal parasites and salmonella maybe.

I have heard that as long as your brain has oxygen it can function for a while. Snakes would then live longer but I am not sure.

At the end of the day I am not happy.

What a sick nation, how the hell do peolple get pleasure out of an animal suffering. Its a different story if an animal is killed humanely, but this just sick and cannot be justified.

How does one know the animals you consume is killed humanely? As if each cow, sheep or chicken gets a nice hay pen to lay in as it is humanely "put down" i think not. In my honest opinion people are just plainly too desensitised of going and getting lovely little meat packages in the shops and forget what the reality is.

Sorry just a ramble but this whole issue frustrates me, its not the snake getting hacked up that gets me but its peoples reactions to it.
