Professionally Hand-Selecting Quality Reptiles For Customers

Please be advised that we are a Reptile Farm and we Contact International
Shipping Operation in Our locations. We are not a Conventional Pet
Store or Zoo and all customer can appointment for visits to our
Private Facility. If you decide to visit us unannounced, there is a
high likelihood that you will be turned away due to time constraints.
We also currently do not accept appointments for sightseeing and/or
browsing.
We may provide this service in the future as a community
service to organizations. If you know what you need, give us a
call or email us. We are very sorry but we do not have time to
accommodate browsers. We do hope you understand our dilemma in this
matter.

The give away is that the location is Cameroon as well as the phone number. There are no snakes in Cameroon, only parasites and con artists. And since when will a snake farm not allow you to look at their animals?

These Cameroon moegoes are known for their live pet scams. If you don't believe me try a simple Google search. They used to try their luck on JunkMail, but now it seems they are targeting other websites as well.

Thanks Mitton, just hope no-one send him money already.

Basically they brainwash you into paying for the specimen and shipping and after a couple of days they contact you again with the story that customs detained the animal and more money is needed before they will release the shipment for export. By the time you realize it's a scam the guy is long gone. Since payments are made through Western Union or Money Gram there is no way to trace the money.

Just having a pet farm that does export out of Australia should make the lights flicker.

Importing is not for the faint hearted, I have been ripped off by people who supplied good quality stuff in the past. I no longer deal with anyone I dont personally know and definitely nobody in Africa.

Greed and or stupidity keeps these guys in business..advance fee scams are by far the most common scams.
If they not playing on your sympathies then they appealing to your greed, :smt011

Dumbtree for example, is crawling with these people, you just have to look, sadly people are sometimes to stupid to smell a rat when things seem to good to be true.. thus we have millions of scammers to deal with the millions of greedy and stupid.. :smt018

A simple email header check with soon reveal the origin of the sc@mmer even if he has routed his mail through 5 different country's...

If you ever want to take on these guys always use a g_mail addie with a fake profile to avoid being tracked down once you have ripped the oke a new one, knowing what to do and what to say to keep them playing helps, having all the tools to have them arrested/ close their bank accounts and or cost them money is even better! :-D but it takes time and effort...

Remember if it's too good to be true it probably is!

Guys, a friendly word of warning, we have had quite a bit of scammer activity on our classifieds the past few weeks. I deleted another one now.

The mods try to delete these as soon as possible, but sometimes we are not available.

A few tips to keep an eye out for to identify possible scams:

- Asking price in US dollars
- Seller from Cameroon, Tanzania, DRC or wherever
- Suspicious terminology ie. "snake is well trained and tame"

And if you identify an ad which is a possible scam, please report it for our attention.

Thanx

Just an idea - put a report post button in the classifieds - make it easier to report?
You know, you can touch a stick of dynamite, but if you touch a venomous snake it’ll turn around and bite you and kill you so fast it’s not even funny.
