Western Cape people (CPT region)

Postby Rodwraylva » Sun May 27, 2012 10:31 pm

As we know NatCon have their flaws, but the only way to get it set would be to make a decent orginisation, like the CRI (I have not seen them active for a while, any news on them?) we need to address some of the problems we have with current laws, to get Cape Nature to give us a list of illegal and blacklisted animals, and to get a grip over the situation in reptile keeping here in WC.

Would anyone in the area be interested in a meet to address what you see as problematic and what you see as unneeded in the laws regarding reptile keeping? I am hoping to get a good number of reptile keepers and reptile enthusiasts to get together and help sort out the problem as I do not think we have done that successfully.

Regards
Andries

Might work out that you have something to do here for the weekend and so on, so hey might be that you can make it. We do not know yet

Just pm me your email adress, and I will forward to the coordinater and he will get dates for you.

Andries its the Cape reptile Club (CRC), CRI is the Cape Reptile Institute.
The CRC will be starting up in the next two months, details will be made available within the month.

This reeks of Maclown! Goed gesien Tony!

Didn't he also start his own club? Cape Peninsula Reptile Club and fail miserably yet again?

Yes it is Shawn, but I agree with him, as I have not seen the CRC do anything lately, I am just saying we need to get together and get things done. Even if it is with someone you do not like, we just need to get things in order somewhere.

We have had people say lets start a movement and we all go along and say but this is the problems but never seen people stand together and try to get our say. And atleast Shawn is doing that. Why can we not settle out differences and just try to get something going?

Cheers Tony.
You can count me out of this reptile club for the moment. I dont want to be associated with said people.
