Good thing!
I for one have to work Saturday until 13:30 or so... but will still make my level best attempt to be there during the allotted time frame, I can neither confirm nor deny exactly what time but I should be there in good time.

Thank you to all who made the effort to support yesterdays Braai, I believe you will all agree it was a good day out. It was really great seeing all of you there, and to those who travelled vast distances a very big thank you from all the "locals"

Congratulations to the lucky draw winners and thank you to the sponsors, Colourful Canvus, For Goodness Snakes and Reptiles Unlimited for the great prizes.

There were loads of photos taken and they will be displayed here shortly.

Til December

Yesterday was great - thank you so much JP for organising. A big thank you also goes out to our sponsors - especially since my husband & I both won a prize! I got 2 tickets to pure venom, and Warren won the lovely Veiled Chameleon painting, donated by Vuduman - thanks SO much!

I took a few pics - sorry, they're not the best and I put my camera away before some of the later arrivals came...

Yes the weather that was ordered arrived just on time.

JP could organise a pig on a spit braai at a synagogue!!! Well done JP.

It was nice seeing so many people who really came a long way to meet and greet. Some were there during Ramadan and I know I would not be able to attend a braai while fasting. That is what makes a true herper.

You guys should make sure the next one is just as well attended. The herptological knowledge on tap at places like that is mind blowing. Even just putting faces to the voices on the phone or the words on a computer screen is worth the effort.

I would say two thumbs up but then some people might think I am picking on them with their blackened thumbs.

There must be more photos which can be posted here?

What an awesome day it was. It seems to be getting bigger and better as they go along which is wonderful. Big thanks to everyone involved in putting it together and also to the sponsors for the prizes. It was also very nice to see some of our GP members again. I agree with BV that the wealth of knowledge is amazing and I certainly learned a few tricks on the day as well. I cannot wait for the next one. Well done everyone.
