Illegal captive

Hi guys, since weve been discussing illegaly owned reptiles I would like to know which snakes are legal to own and which ones arent..I am not planning on owning them but have seen strange posts.

Herens the list.

Bothriechis aurifer
Atheris dfesaixi
Atheris mabuensis
Atheris katangensis
Trimeresurus sumatranus malcolmi
Bothriechis marchi

These ones I dont know there scientific names
Huttons pit viper
Black speckled palmpitviper
Mcgregors pit viper
Bamboo pit viper

Srry for spelling mistakes but doing this on my fone and my fone is a bit stukkend..

Those are all snakes outside of Southern Africa correct?
Then you can Keep All of them legally.
Providing you source them here , or have been legally imported.
Easy as that, it is how ever different when you wont indigenous snakes.
Organized crime comes in more forms than one.

Some serious name dropping going on here.
Microlepidotus the majority of the animals you mention have probably only been seen in the flesh by a handful of people in the world and are not even close to being common names in the trade.
This is an odd post.

Fooble it all depends where he stays. The Cape provinces (W, E and N.cape) would require permits and Freestate often insist on proof of import into the province or acquisition. Limpopo and Mpumalanga also requires some provenance documentation especially for venomous species.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

CB and m.giddings i dont think you understood the question correctly! He never asked where or who keeps these. Only if it is legal or not. Try stay on the subject.
