THA meeting for May

Postby Bushviper » Fri May 27, 2011 10:13 am

Just a reminder that tonight's THA meeting is definitely still on. It is scheduled for 19h30 for 20h00 at the Transvaal Museum.

The speaker will be our very own E Mitton on pythons of the genus Morelia.

If anyone wants frozen pinks and fuzzie mice please contact me about this before the time and bring cooler boxes with.

Non members will be charged R20 to cover the costs of the venue the parking as well as coffee and cookies after wards.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Thank you to those who braved the cold and crossed the great divide to the meeting last night. It is such a pity so few people got to see the talk and the wonderful specimens which Eugene brought with.

For Wulf Haacke to thank me for arranging what he referred to as one the most interesting talks he has attended surely means something. Another old timer said he was "blown away" by the specimens that he saw and had last seen an adult Jaguar Carpet in the US which at the time cost 22 thousand dollars.

The cookies and hot chocolate went down well along with the chat afterwards. This time it did not end so late and almost each person left clutching either mice, rats, a heating pad, book or even just a frog.

To those who missed it you can kick yourselves. Thanks again to Eugene Mitton

Pity I had to miss it :( I remember when I first came Eugene just had a pair of jungle carpets or maybe a few more? Its amazing how he has grown into a Morelia expert. Big Congrats, I look forward to seeing what you have to offer in the future :)
