misleading clients?

Postby Cyberduke » Sat Dec 10, 2011 12:51 pm

Hi

One of my friends is so exited when she told me that she is going to get a snake for Christmas. I then asked her if she knew about the permits. (We are in the eastern cape) And she told me that the guy from the pet shop told her that she would not need a permit for most snakes. And I know for a fact that here we need permits for each and every snake. What should I do now?

Inform her about the permit system and what the punishment is for not abiding by in. Then go to the store owner and inform him as well he might not know the correct procedure or he is just trying to make a quick buck and should then be handed over to authorities or at least inform them about him.

To get permits in the EC does not seem to be a major problem. Do not buy from this shop because he probably does not have permits in any case and then you are stuck with an illegal animal.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
