Snakes are out Early this year.
Within 100 meters of the lodge we have caught and released 9 spotted skaapsteker, 3 cobra and one black mamba.
We remove them from where our guests are relaxing and take them a kilo or so into the bush where we release them again.

This weekend is going to be a cracker.
We have 3 rooms left for the weekend, so if anyone else is interested please contact us on yiwarra@outlook.com or mannah@mweb.co.za
Telephone numbers are Yiwarra 0789205090 and Abbey at Mannah Executive guest lodge for bookings and deposists is 011 979 2820.

We have secured the neighboring farm as well for the weekend, so there will be alot to take in and enjoy. They have also given us guides and trackers for those who dont want to herp alone. Our Game vehicle is also available for the weekend so that we can take people to secluded areas on both farms.

Regards
JP

Only a few spaces left guys.

Please book your room so long even if you havent paid a deposit yet.
You can do this through Abbey at Mannah executive guest lodge on number 011 979 2820.
We are trying to sort out the amount of acomodation needed and also looking into getting people in at guest farms next door.

Snake tracks are full up on the farm and we see about 2 or 3 tracks crossing the gravel roads daily.

We have also caught 3 Rhombic Egg eaters over the last week as well as a Tiger snake and a load of Skaap stekers.

Mamba tracks are full up and so are puff adder and cobra.

Dont miss out on this event. we will only be doing another one in a month or 2 after.

Regards
JP

Hi Savu

TBH I dont know the difference between a mamba and a Cobra track, but our tracker on the farm, who has been here 14 years knows the difference.

The Farm is full of Cobra and mamba.

Only one month left until this fantastic weekend.
We finally had a few drops of rain yesterday, which is more than welcome. And it really was only a few drops.
But the bush is starting to look nice and green.

We caught a spotted skaap steker the other day and while transporting her she laid 6 eggs.

Will post some photo's soon.

Also we have completed one of our lapa's, so guys can enjoy sitting around the fire while telling stories and having a few drinks.

Hi guys and gals
Due to unforseen circumstance the Limpopo Herping weekend will be postponed to January 2015.

I will keep you guys updated and also keep the photos coming of what we find and where etc, the is just too much happening on the farm right now.

Keep a eye on this page for updates and info.

Regards

That's a pity, but good news for me, as I would most likely be able to attend then :) we had our first proper rain for the season today. How about there ?

Rain been good and wild life flourishing.
Any one still interested in a bushveld get together?

We had to cancel last time as I was injured while breaking in a horse.

I have also linked up with Erich Venter wildlife park (Eventiera park)
This opens more farms up for herping year round.
