Our garden had many Dwarf chameleons in it.Due to a population exploisions.Including Natal , Black headed ,Setros and Drakensburg ,dwarf chameleons.Hilton seems a perfect area for them.Perfect it may seem but It is not only the cars that are killing them ,dogs and the owls IT IS THE MONKEYS.There are two troops the Chameleon Crunchers and the Avoeaters. The monkeys have found our road as being the treasure trove of chameleons. They have eaten seven gravid females that are about 14-19 had congregated on the leopard tree.About two non-gravid chameleons where eaten.
Monkeys and birds of prey are threatning the population of chameleons in Hilton.Anyone have any Ideas how to tackle this problem?
