Sad day...

At one stage or the other, we all deal with a death. It is never nice losing a pet and thus, you can share your loss with the rest of us and share your memories so that they will be remembered.

Sad day...

Postby insaniac » Thu Nov 26, 2009 2:15 pm

Well,

Got up this morning, walked to the kombuis, started making breakfast, then my brother walked in...

With one of his trio of Kanburri ( sp* ) Pit Vipers in his hand...

For the first two seconds I thought he was being stupid, but then I realised that it wasn't moving.

It had died, it looked like, minutes before...

We got her with the other two almost straight out of their mom, but she never started eating like the others.

In the 3 months we've had them she only ate once where the other two devoured anything from guppies to pinkies...

It was very sad to see, never know why this has to happen... ?

She will be missed, but not forgotten...

Sorry to hear that. It is never easy loosing a snake.

Sorry to hear.

Remember you guys tried! In the wild not all the snakes are meant to make it. This little girl would have been killed off long ago were she in the wild. There was nothing you could have done otherwise. I am sure you gave her the best care you could and she was lucky to have you both taking care of her.

Thanks B.B., much appreciated !

She has pride of place, sitting on his desk in some formalin ( sp * ) and spirits.

Serves as a reminder that not everything can go your way all the time.

My bro is coping well, after the innitial sadness, he's back on the wagon again and happy with the prospect of acquiring another pet.

Thanks to all for the well wishes, from both of us.
