This really sucks !(H.gigas)

At one stage or the other, we all deal with a death. It is never nice losing a pet and thus, you can share your loss with the rest of us and share your memories so that they will be remembered.

This really sucks !(H.gigas)

I finally got my pair H.gigas after a long wait about 2weeks ago and then noticed a bump forming in my boy's body about 4days ago...
Dr.Elliot and I decided to operate on him yesterday and the operation itself was a success...IF ONLY THE RECOVERY WAS...He unfortunately died this moring...

Rob...We have no idea hey...I've never seen something like it but it's def. some kind of abscess...We are still waiting to hear what it is...and the cause is also unknown ?!I am going to Dr.E now and then we'll prob. know...
Do you maybe know anyone who has a adult male for sale ?HAHA...

Sorry to hear about this loss. At least you did what you could by bringing him to Dr. Elliot. Is that all puss in the glass beaker? Interesting to hear what the pathology will say.

Thanks guy's...
Jip that is all puss !We had very little to no bleeding so all of it came straight out of that mass...
I just got back from Onderstepoort but have not yet got the path. results back yet,I will let you guy's know what it turns out to be as soon as I get it...
Another thing that could have caused its death is the loss of a lot of nerves that ran into/across the mass ?...

He was around 1.8m long but still very small compared to his girl haha...
Haha...I do to...I phoned a couple of friends and now that I'm looking for a male I can only get females haha...

Sorry about your loss. My boet reckons it looks like a Liposarcoma that became secondarily infected.

@Rob, you remember that het albino bhs you gave me?

My female bhs had a similiar looking lump and the vet removed 3 abcesses almost like those, she died 2 days later.

Sorry eyelash he looked like a awesome animal.

Its weird how snakes seem to make it through the operations looking "all good" and then die within a couple of days/hours...?
