Sorry about this poor quality pic but this is him smashing a roach...the force that these things hit prey items with is mind blowing!

Sorry to hear that. I had the pleasure of catching one last time I was in Natal. They are amazing creatures.

So sorry to hear that Trayton. That was such a nice animal. I hate it when an animal dies for no apparent reason. Recently I had it with a large 'healthy' female coral snake.

Thanks Craig, like Rob says, feels cr@p tp take an animal out of the wild just to have it die in your cage  .

Damn sorry man, if you dont mind me asking, what exacly happened???

I have no idea...i was feeding my roaches next to their cage as i always do,and as always i threw a couple in for them,i thought i saw him come out to have a look but having another look he was shaking his head from side to side.

I picked him up and he stopped, when i turned him over he started again shaking his head from side to side, openeing his mouth every now and then...the nerves in his tail were going ballistic and eventually he gave up the ghost.

Where do you get your roaches? If they were wild maybe they had some residue of insecticide?

He breeds them in his bedroom. The Madagascan Hissers.
