Advice on Mice Breeding setups

Postby Rishaad » Fri Aug 28, 2009 3:21 pm

I have decided to give breeding my own mice a bit of a shot but I am undecided on which system to use (rack or commercial cages). I just met a guy who is giving me these mouse cages here for a very reasonable price. Any suggestions or experiences you guys have had using any of these systems would be appreciated. @snakemanjayd - Hope you dont mind me using your rack pic on this post.

And God has Created every animal from water, of them are some creeping on their bellies, some walk on two legs, and some on four. God Creates what He wills, for sure God has Power over all things. (Noble Quran 24:45)

Both cages will work just fine, as long as the only access to the food is through the cage it'll do great. The cages stay cleaner for longer that way.

I am looking for some mice and rat breeding cages like the ones in this post. I am based in Durban. Does anyone know where I can get some here or if there is anyone in Durban that can build racks?
