Hi Guys

I was watching a episode of Snakebytes tv last night and Brian was handling a King Ratsnake (also known as Taiwan Stink Snake), Elaphe carinata. Are there any available in South Africa? I would love to have a couple of those.

I have also seen that episode, that king rat is big and chipped off! I know a person who had a trio here in PE many years back but havnt heard of any others since then. If they were available in my area I would probably have a few because I think they are awesome. Like a big angry taiwanese rat.

Yeah, they were available in the country some time back, but from what I could see, all wild caught imports which subsequently died.

They are great snakes and actually already available in a couple of morphs in Europe and the US (albino and hypo I think).

Beware, they are not called Stinking Goddess for nothing ;)
