EISH!!! I drive a car with a low sports suspension, so these roads are a definite no go for me!!! Hopefully by end of next year I will have a 4x4 or something to travel on these types of roads, sticking to tar roads is no fun and keeps me from appreciating the beauty of our country to the fullest!

HN3 looks like it is some where in the Drakensburg,
HN4 looks like a desert road in the middle east, I have no clue where it is!!

All the roads above are accessable by normal car. (did it with mine or saw normal cars whilst there)

These are pretty difficult, but my guess would have been:
HN1: Somewhere in the Karoo... so between Hondeklipbaai and Bloemfontein
HN2: Augrabies or surrounding area
HN3: Namibia somewhere
HN4: Namibia somewhere...
HN5: I will go for the Eastern Cape area, possibly somewhere near Middelburg or Graaff-Reinet, but that is a REALLY wild guess.

HN2 - right (taken from Moonrock)
HN3 - A very well known place in Southern Nam picture taken from a different angle and doesnt show the whole of it.
HN4 - There are only a few places in Nam that the wind can kill you like that (white sand)!!!
HN5 - Think red.

To make this a bit easier. these are some the well known (gems) species of snakes/lizards that occur there.

HN1 - B. rubida, B. caudalis, L. fiski, C. cataphractus and P. notistictus.
HN2 - N. woodi and B. xeropaga.
HN3 - N. woodi, B. caudalis, B. xeropaga.
HN4 - B. cornuta, B. caudalis, B. schneideri.
HN5 - B. rubida, C. cataphractus, A. lubricus.

Please can people just attempt to try this... You learn more about the country.

I have two rules, in my car! NO SMOKING, and no gravel roads!

But on that, still hoping to get a 4x4 next year, then the rules will change to NO SMOKING and NO TAR ROADS!!! hehehe
