Getting actively involved in the reptile community

I wanted to ask whether you guys have any suggestions or ways of helping and contributing to the reptile community. As I would like to get involved in making a difference.

I don't know much, but if you're experienced with snakes and reptiles, you could start a reptile rescue? Even helping out at reptile parks. Also, (This may not contribute much, but this could give you more experience and knowledge) you could attend reptile talks and shows.
