Long nosed green racer (P.baroni)

Postby fredsmith » Tue Nov 04, 2008 3:01 pm

I saw a picture of a "Long Nosed Green Racer (P.Baroni) on another thread and I'm completely intrigued.
I've done a search through this site and a search online, but there doesn't seem to be all that much information about this weird looking snake.
Anyone out there have any experience with this snake and have some knowledge you'd like to share?
Does the pointy nose serve a purpose?

I have had a bunch of them, very nice and active snakes, the venom is pretty mild. But there are some species of Philodryas that have proven to be fatal. One example is Philodryas olfersii that you mention above, all the victims has been children that i know of.
