She looks stunning! My favorite Boiga species is Boiga dendrophilia, but this Boiga would be my second choice.

Thanks for sharing :).

thanks Mr Venom i used to keep Boiga dendrophilia a very beautiful snake, but there is something about the african species that pulls my heart strings, the next Boiga i want in my collection is the Powdered Tree Snake (Boiga pulverulenta). but wouldnt mind having dendrophilia again.

Yeah man really nice blandingi, this one is still missing in my collection. Do you know if it's a male ore a female? Would be cool to see a full body shot .
Never seen a Boiga pulverulenta here, are they common in SA, any breeders around?

This is a female, these snakes seem to be sexually dimorphic. They also no longer Boiga but rather Toxicodryas blandingii .

Jep, as far as I know Boiga pulverulenta also has changed to Toxicodrya pulverulenta.
Which sexually dimorphic do they have? I think the length, but is there something else? All my Boiga females are larger, except the cynodon.

The males are a lot darker almost black and yes females are much longer than the males. As for the powdered tree snake as far as I know there are no breeders in SA as there are hardly any people that keep Boiga in SA and people don’t even bother trying to breed them .

I have to add that is quite disappointing that this genus is under rated in the SA pet trade. Most people don’t appreciate them. I find them extremely interesting and beautiful as well as a great species to work with.

Thank's for the Information.

That's really a pity, here in Switzerland it's the same. It is even hard to sell the youngsters, because no body is interested in them. Except of the cyanea's.
I can't understand that, every body wants corn snakes (morphs) or ball python's.
How long is your blandingi now?

She is 1,7meters long she eats budgies and rat pups. She also has a temper that will make a Black mamba quiver with fear.

ok then she still has to grow a bit. ;-) I like there temperament, they are so fantastic snakes. I would like to keep them but we need a special permit and a enclosure with the size of 3m long, 1.5m deep, 2.1m high. That's probably the reason why there are not so many that keep this ssp. here.
I know a guy who sells 2.1 cb11 at the moment. I'm trying to make more space for this large enclosure.

They going for about R2'180 (250 Swiss Franks). For me when i take all, it will be a bit cheaper.
Here http://sareptiles.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28697 you can see a few of my ones.
