I really enjoyed reading this. Thanks guys!

On a more serious note, I wish people would take the advice given, and not always try to prove that they know better than the people that deal with these things daily.

Good on you Mariska. I think you are just highlighting what a total mess this all is. One hand dosnt know what the other is doing. Just imagine the utter chaos with all the new invasive species lists. Its not even worth applying, seriously.

This is very amusing. I would love to see a copy of the permit in any case and then a picture of the ferret standing on the permit.

Mariska please post the pictures

I am still waiting with baited breath for those ferret pic's, I do know of a pair in Toti area, Durban. Been looking for one myself, but I only see scam's, so be careful there. I hope Mariska was not scamed, I would also like to know at what cost they were sold for. Ferrets don't have a very long life span it would be foolish to pay a lot for it, if there is anyone else out there breeding and selling, let me know.

I have 1 female available. she is currently 5 weeks old and massive for her age.
She is eating solids and her eyes are about to open.
FYI Ferrets are 100% legal in KZN and Eastern Cape. In Gauteng they need to be fixed.
No longer on the prohibited list... Yes they have come here illegally, but our government is realizing they hold no threat to out local meerkats.

Message me if you are interested in my baby Jill (female)
