I was just looking at the latest draft list of invasive species and didn't see ferrets on the list. Did i just miss it or have they been removed?

The mammal listing is not nearly finished and will need to be discussed at national level. Ferrets are listed as Schedule 6 animals (Black listed, alien invasive species) in Gauteng and should be in the old Transvaal and Cape provinces. That means that despite what the national legislation says they will still be undesirable.

Pity... Had a mate in the UK who had a ferret. They're amazing energetic pets.
