I take it King cobras are big in the UK? 2 King cobra bites a couple months apart from each other.

He was not envenomated so the first aid was not required "But thanks to their quick thinking paramedics arrived to find Mark suffering no serious effects from the bite." What the hell can you do for a dry bite?

If you have been envenonomated you need antivenom. No amount of first aid skill will pull you through.

If you have not been envenonomated then you could just as well have chanted a voodoo cure and that will not have changed the effect.
