2 new Family members

Postby insaniac » Sun Nov 16, 2008 7:28 pm

Hey guys,

I got two new additions to my new family over the weekend and I was wondering if you guys would like to try and guess what they are... ?

Here are some clues...

They can change colours in no time.
They grow up to 3 feet in length and use their long tails as a balance or defence mechanism.
They have crests on the back of their necks.
Their bellies are usually pale yellow or white.
They have vertical stripes running along their bodies.

Any guesses ?

@ matty : Yes it is, wnated to post sooner but I've been trying to take pics and they're still a bit too skittish and don't wanna stand still for long...

@ Moreliahunter : OOH, so close !

@ putridity : Believe me they are, and they are FAST ! oh yeah, did I mention they are FAST !!!!!

@ Buck Rogers : They originate from Asia...

@ putridity : DING DING DING !!!!! You git it !

I am really chuffed about them !!! Can't really tell what I have yet ( male/female ), but they look to be getting along just fine. They are real little hunters, they'll actually jump from the branches onto unsuspecting crickets...

They are awesome !

I'll post pics soon, feeding them tonight again, maybe I'll get it right... hold thumbs !

O.K. As promised, here goes...

Yeah ! I did it !

I guess you do learn something new everyday ...

Sorry about the quality of the pics, I'm no photographer.

The first one, the livelier of the two :

Secondly, he/she is more skittish, but just as damn fast !

Don't know the sexes yet, and I don't really know of names that are "bisexual" so I'll wait a while till I can surely say nefore I name them.

@ animalfanatic : They are about 4 months old now...
