Oh yeah,

Just remeber that with real plants, come real bacteria...and that is another mission all in itself.

Make sure the nursery you get the plants form, doesn't use any pesticides on the plants !

just keep in mind there is good bacteria and bad bacteria, check out sites like blackjungle.com and vivariaforums.com, these are set ups for amphibians, but they discuss in full detail about the different types of bacteria and funguses that actually aid an assist in the break down in feaces and plant matter that is beneficial. Mould and parasites (again not all are bad) is what you have to watch out for cause they produce air born spores that are hazardous to herps and humans. Good luck!

Thanks for the help guys!

He is doing much better since we've placed him in the bigger enclosure. He runs around like crazy. We placed the water bowl in such a manner that when we feed him live food, he runs on the water to get to it, which is pretty damn cool to see!

Would it be a bad idea to take plants from my garden and put them in the enclosure?
Does anybody else have the Hibby Dibby Jeebies?

Ummm, to be honest yes! Rather go check out a reliable nursery (if you in Gauteng go to the Garden shops), ask them for plants that can grow indoors and tell them what its for. They can give you some valuable advice and emphasize its for a reptile so no poisonous plants. Setting up a terrarium with natural plants is an awesome idea for basiliks and chameleons, the natural feel does wonders for their health as they kind hide in the follige and use it as a way for hunting as well.
